I’m English, I play rugby. It’s more than a game!

In England we have many rugby traditions, to non players they may seem, bizarre, extreme, childish or even considered torture.
The tradition to hold your head high when your trousers are around your ankles in a packed bar of people and down a pint in 6 secs is not just stupidity (well yes it is). If you can stand with your team with no fear while one of the lads holds a pint of chilled beer with your ‘wedding gear’ dangling, swimming in the froth while the audience cheer with laughter then any fear when you step onto that grassy field soon disappears. I think that is the theory (or excuse) which unites the team into one unbreakable bond.

The reason for this post? One ‘Hot Dogs’ refusal to allow a little English tradition when it came to celebrating Pahom’s birthday! A mere innocent trousers down display caused the usual overzealous security at Hot Dogs to over react an spoil the fun, get a life.
And two, Pahoms refusal to take his trousers down on his own! Sorry Pahom but it really was not an attempt to humiliate just you (well it was but not in a nasty way!!) but the whole team building thing was going on. And of course it does work as your courageous mate Andrei offered to stand with you!!!!!(May please post the photo!)

What follows are examples of humiliation by some of my friends and myself all in the name of rugby.
Be warned it may not be pretty!
